What a fun and busy term we have had so far - and now we have reached December it will be even more busy (and glittery!!)
In the next couple of weeks the children will be able to be involved in a variety of Christmas craft and activities which will be coming home in time to decorate your homes!
Date for your diary:
We have invited Hartbeeps to join us again this year for a fun Christmas music session on Thursday 10th December. If your child does not normally attend Pre School on a Thursday, your child is very welcome to come in and join us between 9:30-10:30 on that day; you will need to stay with them during this time. If Thursday is your child’s day, they will attend as normal. We would appreciate a £2 contribution per family towards this; the pre-school will fund the rest of the cost.
Farewell Ruth!
As I am sure you are aware, Ruth will be leaving the Pre-school at Christmas. We are having a small leaving party for her on Thursday 17th December at 11am and would love all our parents and children who don’t attend preschool on a Thursday to join us. The children are preparing songs for the parents and Ruth and we also have some children who are leaving to go to school to say farewell to. We thought it would be fun if the children dressed up in Christmas / Nativity costume on that day. Children who attend pre school on a Thursday please attend as normal and other children and parents can join us at 11am.
We would like to buy Ruth a special gift as a thank you to her for her many years of hard work and dedication to the Pre School. With this in mind we are asking all parents if they would like to contribute to our collection. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Please pass on any contributions to any of the staff (except Ruth!) by Friday 11th December. There will be a card for Ruth which will be available to sign when collecting your child.
Parent consultations:
Parent’s consultations will be on Friday 18th December from 9 -10:30, which will give parents an opportunity to speak with your child’s keyworker and look at your child’s learning journey. A form will be available at the Pre School shortly to book your time for this date.
If you are not available on this date please speak to the staff and an alternative date can be arranged.
Introducing our new team Leader Lucy!
Ruth’s replacement, Lucy Peters has been spending some time with us at the Pre-school recently, this has been a lovely way for the children to get to know Lucy and visa versa and we look forward to her joining us on a permanent basis from January.

Term will end on Thursday 17th December and Pre School will re open on Tuesday 5th January.
Don't forget - we are a charity, so any help you can give goes towards educating your children.

We have negotiated with the lovely people at Marina Spice Lounge and also Calzone to help us raise some funds for the Pre-School. They have agreed to donate 15% of your bill directly to the Pre-School! In order to qualify, you need to prove you are a parent, so please pickup a loyalty card from Pre-School and present it to the participating restaurant.
